Manager By-laws and Licensing
Reporting to the City Solicitor, the Manager By-laws and Licensing is responsible for leading the team that administers the City’s by-laws and licensing standards in a manner that is fair and consistent. Mayor and Council’s are committed to enhancing Surrey’s livability and the by-laws team plays an important role in achieving this goal. You lead a large team that interacts directly with the Public on a diverse range of issues. Providing excellent service to multiple stakeholders within an education based enforcement model is critical.

| Educational Requirements: |
Equipped with a relevant degree or diploma, and 10-15 years of related work experience preferably in the public safety field, you have experience leading a team of people. In addition, you have demonstrated success in interacting with the public on a wide range of issues. You are comfortable in situations that may involve conflict and you are able to see the bigger picture. Your strong listening and communication skills enable you to achieve positive outcomes |

This position requires the completion of the RCMP Reliability Security Clearance.
