Job Description: The Surrey RCMP is seeking a dedicated professional who is committed to teamwork, continuous improvement, and providing superior customer service. Continued growth and change make the Team Supervisor position a truly challenging career opportunity for an innovative, proactive and action-oriented supervisor to lead the day-to-day operations of the Operations Communications Centre in the delivery of emergency communications services to our residents.
Duties: In this role, you will be responsible for the leadership of Telecommunications Operators and Switchboard Operators to ensure that the needs of our clients are met in a professional and efficient manner. Under the general direction of the Operations Communications Centre Manager, you will oversee the training of employees, manage scheduling, monitor and enforce quality operational standards, liaise with clients and internal departments, develop and implement new work processes and procedures, perform scheduling of shifts and assist other staff in the performance of their duties.
Educational Requirements: Completion of a related post secondary program combined with five years of progressively responsible experience within an operations Communications Centre is required.
Skill Requirements: This position requires an analytical individual with knowledge of labour relations, progressive discipline and a strong knowledge of Change Management, coupled with strong initiative and an aptitude for bringing people together. Individuals should possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills including the ability to interact/build relationships with all levels of staff and a strong knowledge of Performance Management. Completion of a related post secondary program combined with five years of progressively responsible experience within an operations Communications Centre is required.
