| Job Description: |
The City of White Rock is a unique, ocean-side community of 20,000 citizens known for its sunny weather, expansive beach, historic pier, delightful restaurants, and sense of community. The City is located half an hour south of Vancouver on the shore of Semiahmoo Bay.
The newly formed position of Manager, Engineering will form an integral part of the Engineering & Municipal Operations Department, reporting to the Director. |

| Duties: |
This position will be responsible for leading the Engineering Services division, which includes Development Engineering, the City’s Capital Program, and Permit Approvals, along with Facilities Maintenance. In this role, you will oversee and provide technical expertise for a wide variety of municipal infrastructure projects and programs related, but not limited to, roads, transportation, public works, as well as parks and solid waste management. This may include project and technical staff supervision and management of services in consultation with the Manager, Operations. In the areas of Facilities Maintenance, you will develop and maintain strong client relationships and implement a formal preventative and on-going maintenance program to ensure the longevity of City owned facilities.

| Educational Requirements: |
Qualifications include a Bachelors or Masters’ degree in a related Engineering discipline and eligibility for registration in APEGBC as a professional engineer. A minimum of ten (10) years experience in design, construction and project management, along with experience working in a municipal environment with progressive managerial responsibilities is required. |
