Building Inspector 1 Your strong communication and interpersonal skills will be well utilized in providing technical advice, assistance, interpretative and information to the general public, contractors, owners, architects and engineers on matters related to the Building Division. Responsibilities include the coordinator of group inspections of major projects and preparing correspondence to the permit older or property owner. The successful candidate will have completed Grade 12 supplemented by a post-secondary diploma or certificate in Building Technology or elated discipline and at least three years experience in building trades; an equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered. Technical achievement of the Level I Certificate from the building Officials Association of BC is required, as well as a valid BC Driver’s License with a safe driving history.
