TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT COORDINATOR
Your focus will be to coordinate traffic management at construction and worksites, judiciously applying by-laws and zoning and industry requirements, while successfully resolving other traffic-related issues. We will rely on you to coordinate City Staff; meet with external agencies to determine cooperation and mutually acceptable solutions to problems; and interact with senior levels of government and the development industry to coordinate construction and road activities to minimize traffic disruption and congestion.
Qualified candidates will have earned a 2-year diploma in business, engineering or planning and have at least 1 year experience in a related field (or education/experience equivalent with a proven record of technical capabilities in civil engineering). In addition to a valid Class 5 BC driver’s license and safe driving record, we require computer proficiency with MS-Office applications and excellent communication skills.
