| Job Description: |
It has been determined that there is a need for a Co-operative Student in the Utilities Engineering Section of the Engineering Department of the City of Chilliwack. The term of this assignment will be up to four months (May to August 2010) with potential for extension to eight months.

| Duties: |
The position will consist of specific assignments related to utilities which include water distribution, sewage collection, waterworks and sewage pump stations and controls, and other related equipment and facilities. The assignments will include becoming familiar with the water and sewer systems, assist in conducting model analysis and provide recommendations for system improvements, data analysis, conduct field investigations and site inspections as required, analysis of sanitary pump stations, assist in implementation of water conservation program, and other duties as assigned.

| Educational Requirements: |
Must be enrolled in the Co-operative Education Program at a recognized post-secondary institution and have met the specific entrance criteria for that program. |

| Salary: |
$19.33 to $22.75 per hour plus 10.2% in lieu of benefits. |
