| Job Description: |
The City of White Rock is a unique, ocean-side community of 20,000 citizens known for its sunny weather, expansive beach, historic pier, delightful restaurants, and sense of community. The City is located half an hour south of Vancouver on the shore of Semiahmoo Bay.
Reporting to the City Manager and as a valued member of the Senior Management team, you will lead the Administration and Professional Services, Engineering, and Operations divisions within the Department. The Director provides leadership to all functions within the Department ranging from the establishing the overall strategic direction and annual work plans for the Department all the way through to directing staff on daily tasks in the provision of City services, planning, coordination and supervision of the Department activities. You will work closely with contractors, consultants, developers, public utility and business representatives, government officials and the public. |

| Duties: |
The successful candidate for this position is a visionary leader with tested strengths in articulating the long term vision for municipal infrastructure and strong report writing skills. Known as a communicator, you are respected for your ability to gain commitment on municipal priorities and recognized for your positive corporate contribution. You demonstrate the ability to ???change gears??? quickly, analyze and assess situations and prioritize accordingly and also reflect a distinguished customer service philosophy. |

| Educational Requirements: |
Qualifications include a Bachelors or Masters??? degree in a related field, with a Professional Engineer designation considered as an asset. A minimum of ten (10) years progressive managerial responsibility up to a senior level is a must. |
