Municipality: District of Mission This posting closed on March 15, 2010 at 4:30 PM Job ID: #2010-03 (Please quote job ID on resume when applying) Department: Parks, Recreation & Culture Department Duties: You will perform a variety of tasks related to municipal buildings and facilities, such as install and maintain ice, operate resurfacing and other related equipment, operate the arena refigeration plant, perform minor maintenance and repair of machines, pumps and filters, perform minor construction, renovation and maintenance of municipal buildings, ensure building security and perform janitorial and custodial functions for the ice arena, curling rink, swimming pool area, public and multi-purpose areas. Educational Requirements: To be considered, you will have a minimum of 1 year full-time experience in ice making and building maintenance, high school graduation, a 5th class power engineer-refrigeration certificate of competency, building service worker certificate, occupational first aid, a valid class 5 drivers licence, and preferably, certification in pool operator 1&2. Salary: The 2010 hourly rate for this full-time CUPE position is $25.69. The work schedule is 4 days per week (36 hours) and shifts may include evenings and weekends.
