The Township of Langley is currently recruiting for a regular full-time Collections Supervisor to join our team of professionals in the Finance Division, Revenue and Tax Collection Department.

This is accounting work of a supervisory nature in the preparation, maintenance and collection of tax and utility accounts. Among other duties, this position coordinates and participates in the preparation of annual tax and flat rate utility billings and local improvement roll; reconciles several tax and utility accounts to the general ledger, transfers charges; processes file maintenance and journal entries and plans, assigns, supervises and reviews the work of a small team.

Your education will include completion of Grade 12, supplemented by completion of two years in a recognized professional accounting course and considerable related exper¬ience. You should also have sound knowledge of those sections of the Homeowners Grant Act and the Municipal Act applicable to the work of the Collections Section as well as sound knowledge of accounts receivable procedures, reconciliations, billings and collections operations, including computerized software applications. Strong supervisory skills are required.

The CUPE rate of pay for this position is $25.98 - $30.59 per hour, plus benefits. The hours of work are Monday to Friday, 8:30 am – 4:30 pm.
