| Job Description: |
In this position, you will work closely with the Director of Parks, Recreation & Culture and will assume the duties of the Director in his absence. You will effectively facilitate community development issues including community schools, leadership and organizational development and management of fee for service agreements. You will liaise with youth and seniors agencies and ensure the efficient delivery of leisure services through ongoing liaison and co-ordination with internal staff, the Association of Community Programmers, and other community groups. Working with the Corporate Services Department and local media outlets, you will enhance the public relations, communication and public processes of Departmental issues and initiatives. Additionally, you will act on various committees and boards and work with the Parks Division on public input process for new park developments. |

| Educational Requirements: |
You hold a degree in Recreation Studies/Facility Operations and have a minimum of 5 years of progressive management experience within a related field. |
|
| Skill Requirements: |
You will demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills, fiscal responsibility, and the ability to deal effectively with elected officials, various committees and boards, all levels of staff and the public in general. |
