Manager Information Services and Technology
Police Support Services Division
The City of Surrey is home to the largest RCMP detachment in Canada. We are proud to be the dedicated team of City staff that provides a wide range of administrative and operational support services to the RCMP.
Reporting to the City???s Manager, Police Support Services Division, this new role has accountability for leading a large team that delivers a broad range of complex information technology and information management services. This team is accountable for evaluating and implementing leading edge technology, processing operational police files workflow management, data/ exhibit management, quality assurance, and its eventual disposition, including the production of records for judicial proceedings. The Manager Information Services and Technology???s challenge is to deliver the quality of services that the RCMP, the City, external clients and the community need in a respectful, effective and efficient manner.
As a member of the senior team of the Police Support Services Division, this position is responsible for leading a large team of unionized and exempt staff.
??? Establish and achieve objectives within the Division???s, RCMP???s and City???s goals.
??? Ensure excellent service delivery.
??? Lead and coach direct reports.
??? Develop positive internal (RCMP, City of Surrey, peers and staff) and external (Public, service partners, and contractors) relationships.
??? Represents the City of Surrey and the RCMP ??? Surrey Detachment on local and regional committees.
You will work closely with RCMP staff within the Surrey Detachment, to ensure we maintain, optimize and innovate with information management systems that must meet complex business needs and standards.
If you are an excellent communicator with a Bachelor Degree in Business Management plus a relevant Information Technology diploma with 10-15 years of management experience preferably in a public safety field, this may be the challenge for you. Knowledge of the PRIME (Provincial Records Information Management Environment) is an asset. Our ideal candidate has held positions of significant complexity and has a demonstrated ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment.
