The District of Mission has a challenging opportunity for a highly motivated, very organized individual to fill the time-durated position of Building Inspector. |
|
| Duties: |
This 3-month assignment involves the inspection of new home construction, as well as additions and renovations to ensure conformity with accepted permit plans, applicable sections of the BC Building Code and the District of Mission???s Bylaws. |
|
| Educational Requirements: |
The successful candidate will have post secondary technical education in building or structural field plus minimum 2 years of municipal experience in inspectional or regulatory field and BOABC Level 1 certification. |
|
| Salary: |
The 2010 hourly rate for this time-durated CUPE position is $28.88 per hour plus 4% in lieu of benefits. Full-time employees work a nine-day fortnight, Monday to Friday, 8:00-4:30 (five days one week, four the next, 70 hours per pay), following the 3-month assignment the right person will retain employment as an auxiliary to fill in on an as needed basis. |
