The Township of Langley is currently recruiting for up to 3 auxiliary Recreation Worker IV ??? Fitness Room Attendants to join our team of professionals in the Recreation, Culture and Parks Division.

Reporting to the Health & Fitness Programmer, you will perform supervisory and instructional duties in the Fitness Centre, including supervision of customers, fitness centre orientations, and general clean-up. You will also assist in program development for health and fitness, assist with newsletter and bulletin boards, and perform other duties as related to the job.

Your academic background must include completion of Grade 12 combined with the following: BCRPA Weight Trainer (or equivalent), valid CPR C, Emergency First Aid and a Class 5 (full-privilege) BC driver???s license.

In addition, skill training in specialty programs such as BCAK Practicing Kinesiologist; BCRPA Registered Personal Trainer (or equivalent) would be an asset.

The rate of pay for this CUPE position is $19.66 - $23.04 per hour, plus 12% in lieu of all other benefits. The hours are various including weekday morning and evenings, weekends, and statutory holidays.

This position is defined by the Township of Langley as a position of trust (Child Safety) and requires a criminal record check.
