Reporting to the Manager, Arena Operations, the Diversity Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and facilitating work as it relates to the ???Abbotsford Building Connections???, citizen and Immigration Canada Multiculturalism project commencing Fall 2010. The successful incumbent will work with various Project Partners to engage the community in building awareness of, and collaborating with diverse cultures and faith groups. In this exciting role you will: ??? Coordinate the overall implementation of the project. ??? Work with all City Departments to plan and implement diversity initiatives. ??? Supervise and report on the contribution agreement. ??? Plan and coordinate project activities that promote cross cultural awareness. ??? Develop, deliver and evaluate various reports, activities, proposals and presentations. ??? Develop best practices and tools to support and sustain the project beyond the end date. Your educational qualifications include an undergraduate university degree in social services or related discipline, plus a minimum of 3 years related experience working with diverse ethnic and faith communities in program planning, implementation, and supervision.
