The Township of Langley is currently recruiting for a permanent full-time Risk Management Advisor with the insight, resourcefulness and initiative to join our Finance Division.

Reporting to the Deputy Director of Finance, you will be responsible in this Exempt position for administering and coordinating the Township of Langley???s risk management program, including insurance and claims processing and undertaking risk assessments and recommending mitigation strategies. You have completed Grade 12, supplemented by courses leading to the Certified Insurance Professional (CIP) and/ or Canadian Risk Management (CRM) certification or equivalent, and have at least 3-5 years of related work experience in risk management, claims adjusting or underwriting, preferably within the municipal or public sector.

In addition to the above qualifications, you have strong interpersonal skills and are energetic, enthusiastic, well organized, have sound knowledge of contract and tort law and are able to communicate effectively (oral and written). A valid Class 5 (full-privilege) BC driver???s license is a requirement.
