The Township of Langley is regularly seeking applicants to augment auxiliary positions for Recreation Worker VI ??? Pilates Instructor to join our team of professionals in the Recreation Culture and Parks Division.
These auxiliary positions??? hours of work are varied, including evening and weekend classes, and are dependent upon sufficient program registration. It is essential that the ideal candidate has strong interpersonal skills, is energetic and enthusiastic, is well organized plus is able to communicate effectively (verbal and written) with all levels of internal and external contacts.
These auxiliary positions??? will lead a variety of Pilates classes for the Walnut Grove Community Centre, W.C. Blair Recreation Centre, Willowbrook Recreation Centre, Aldergrove Kinsmen Centre and the new Willoughby Community Centre located in the Langley Events Centre.
The successful candidate must have a current Pilates Instructor certificate, as well as current First Aid & CPR certifications. A Pilates level 2 instructors certificate and/or additional apparatus training would be an asset.
The rate of pay for this position is $23.00 - $27.00 per hour depending on experience, plus 4% in lieu of benefits. The hours of work are non-standard hours and non-standard work weeks, which would include Thursday evenings.
These positions are defined by the Township of Langley as positions of trust (Child Safety) and require a criminal record check.
