This position will be assisting in this work with particular reference to heritage pre-school and school age programs. This front-line position at the Surrey Museum ensures outstanding public relations and customer services with all cliental by meeting and greeting visitors, providing information and directions, keeping and reporting statistics, answering public enquiries in person and by phone, providing basic facility orientation to visitors including presentation of slides and basic tours, taking program registrations, selling admissions and souvenirs, handling cash, reconciling daily revenue, assisting to provide hospitality, monitoring facility use ??? including inspection of exhibits and facility. The position supports the opening and closing of the facility and monitors, implements and reports safety and risk management issues and practices in a public operation. The successful candidate will have completed Grade 12, supplemented by some post secondary education from a recognized institution, supplemented by 2 years related experience including supervision in cultural work or area of specialty or an equivalent acceptable combination of training and experience.
