Job Description: You will assist the Section Manager to maintain the departmental customer service staff???s technical competency at a high level and ensure systems??? efficiency by performing work in functional systems administration, support, communications and training.

You will be primarily responsible for administering the City???s Class Information System, ensuring the integrity, accuracy and security of data. You will provide end user support and troubleshooting for Class, Genex, CMS and Telephone systems. You will coordinate, train and supervise other staff in Class and other applications and business procedures and perform related duties as required.

The successful applicant must have considerable business knowledge of the functional areas of expertise including Class suite of modules and Accounting Principles relating to a service or retail operation. Demonstrated intermediate skills in and knowledge of relevant computer office applications, including but not limited to Crystal Reports, MS Word, Excel, Outlook, Access, PowerPoint, Visio, FrontPage and Cognos PowerPlay are required.

The ability to communicate effectively, establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external contacts and demonstrate strong service orientation is essential for success in this position. As well, you have the ability to think logically and analytically in a problem solving environment to perform the required auditing data related to the job functions of this position. Effective presentation skills will assist with the training functions of this role.

You must have completed Bachelor???s degree in an acceptable related discipline from a recognized post- secondary institution, plus 2 years of directly related and relevant experience, preferably in a municipal setting; or Diploma in an acceptable related discipline from a recognized post secondary institution, plus 4 years of directly related and relevant experience, preferably in a municipal setting; or Technical courses in the field plus 6 years of directly related and relevant experience, preferably in a municipal setting.
