| Job Description: |
The City of Chilliwack, a growing, dynamic community of 80,000 located 100 kilometres east of Vancouver, is seeking to fill the full time position ofComputer Programmer (Full Time).
|
|
| Duties: |
This union position, reporting to the Deputy Manager of Information Technology, will be responsible for all facets of computer programming, including studying new innovations in programming techniques and keeping informed of advances of computer technology and equipment; assisting in systems modifications and in the design of new systems; operating the computer as required. |
|
| Educational Requirements: |
You hold a diploma in information systems or related discipline from a recognized post secondary institute plus have sound related experience. |
|
| Skill Requirements: |
You are familiar with designing web-based applications using development tools such as Microsoft.NET framework, Microsoft Visual Studio and Coldfusion & ASP. You will demonstrate proficiency with either Microsoft SQL and/or Oracle. You must be able to communicate effectively, both in oral and written format and be able to prepare technical and non-technical reports.
This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain an RCMP Secret Security Clearance.

| Salary: |
