We are currently offering an exciting opportunity in our Human Resources division, for a dynamic, self motivated professional with proven skills, energy and innovation as a Senior Human Resources Advisor, People Development. Reporting to the Director, Human Resources & People Development, the incumbent will be responsible for effectively managing the delivery and integration of learning programs and change initiatives in the City, including needs assessments, program development, delivery and evaluation, budgeting and benchmarking, ensuring learning programs support the organization???s objectives and change management initiatives as identified by the strategic plan. In this exciting role you will:
??? Research, develop, promote and initiate employee development programs and best practices to support organizational objectives and enhance employees??? capacity and skills to excel in their positions and develop within the organization;
??? Research and direct implementation of both formal and informal approaches to corporate-wide learning in the workplace. Create and maintain relevant policies and procedures;
??? Determine key drivers to enhance organizational effectiveness; create a culture of high employee engagement, performance culture and diversity integration in business practices;
??? Build organizational capacity through City wide performance management processes: leadership assessments, coaching/mentoring programs and performance management systems;
??? Establish and maintain collaborative working relationships with key stakeholders (internal/external), vendors, strategic partners and subject matter experts for the purpose of research, ensuring best practice for learning and development initiatives, alignment with the goals and objectives of the organization and creating leading edge programs to support organization as an employer of choice.
As the successful candidate you have a Degree in business with Human Resources or Organizational Development / Behaviour specialization, plus have a minimum of 5 years in Training & Development and/or Organizational Development, and 5-7 years in Human Resources. A CHRP designation and experience working in a unionized, municipal environment are considered assets. In addition, you must have a valid BC drivers licence.
