Job Description: The City of Surrey???s Parks, Recreation and Culture Department, Heritage Services Division, has a unique opportunity for a qualified auxiliary Community Service Assistant 2 ??? Facility Attendant to work within our Heritage services for approximately 8 hours per week.
Duties: This position is responsible for the reception duties at a busy cultural facility. General duties include telephone and in-person reception, clerical duties, handling and reconciling cash for admissions and sales, taking registrations for programs, providing information and facility orientation and delivering basic tours.

This front-line position at the Surrey Museum ensures outstanding public relations and customer services with all cliental by meeting and greeting visitors, providing information and directions, keeping and reporting statistics, answering public enquiries in person and by phone, providing basic facility orientation to visitors, including presentation of slides and basic tours, taking program registrations, selling admissions and souvenirs, handling cash, reconciling daily revenue, assisting to provide hospitality, monitoring facility use ??? including inspection of exhibits and facility. The position supports the opening and closing of the facility and monitors, implements and reports safety and risk management issues and practices in a public operation.
Educational Requirements: The successful candidate will have completed Grade 12, supplemented by significant experience in customer service and working in dynamic and often busy office environments.
Skill Requirements: Applicants must have strong communication and inter-personal skills in addition to excellent group management and leadership skills, are also essential to success. Applicants must have a current Emergency First Aid certificate with CPR, and be able to successfully pass a Criminal Record Check.
