You have completed a Diploma in Building Technology from a recognized post secondary institution. OR Grade 12 supplemented by a minimum of 5 related technical and/or university courses worth 3 credits or 3 units each from a recognized post secondary institution, plus the following experience: 5 years in Plan Checking or 10 years on the Building Counter or 20 years in another role in the Building Division or an acceptable combination of the above training and experience. Courses must be completed, not audited. OR Completion of a university degree in a related technical field from a recognized post secondary institution, plus the following experience: 2.5 years in Plan Checking or 5 years on the Building Counter or 10 years in another role in the Building Division or an acceptable combination of the above experience.
