Children’s Birthday Party Instructors – Spring 2012 Municipality: City of Surrey This posting closed on March 9, 2012 at 4:30 PM Department: Parks, Recreation & Culture Job Description: The City of Surrey’s Parks, Recreation and Culture Department currently requires energetic, self motivated team leaders to join us as auxiliary Children’s Birthday Party Instructors. Duties: This position is focused on leading and facilitating activities during a scheduled birthday party time frame that could be between two (2) and four (4) hour intervals. This involves using ones creative skills in a leadership role to organize children’s activities in a group setting that may include a variety of crafts, physical activities, games or dance. Participants range in age of 2 – 10 years of age. Skill Requirements: Applicants must have activity specific training and experience leading activities within the appropriate age group in a recreational setting. Applicants must possess strong oral communication skills; solid organizational, interpersonal and problem-solving skills and should be able to work independently. The successful candidate will have Emergency First Aid with CPR.
