You should be a fully qualified journeyman electrician and you should have, or be able to obtain, class B certification. You will have several years of post-qualification experience working on a variety of commercial and industrial systems. |

| Duties: |
Reporting to the Utility Superintendent Electrical/Mechanical, you will be responsible for the efficient maintenance and repair of a wide range of electrical and mechanical systems relating to municipal drinking water, storm water and sanitary sewer facilities up to and including 600 volt, 3 phase power systems. Experience with pumps, MCC’s, PLC’s, VFD’s and standby power diesel generators would be advantageous. |

| Educational Requirements: |
• Must hold a journeyman electrician certification valid in British Columbia
• Possession of a valid class 5 B.C. Driver's Licence
• Detailed knowledge of the BC Electrical Code and current industry standards
• Able to recognize and rectify and/or report upon actual or potential safety hazards
