This position is responsible for assisting in the organization, administration and development of heritage exhibitions. This includes liaising with exhibition and community partners, undertaking research, writing loan letters, organizing exhibition graphics & text, assisting with the installation and de-installation of exhibitions and performing standard exhibit reports. Work also includes writing exhibition media releases, community liaison, committee work, public and volunteer lectures, tours and budget assistance. You possess a university level degree with coursework relevant to Museum Studies plus 3 years experience in curatorial practice at a recognized professional heritage facility. You have demonstrated superior organizational skills, proof of community and committee work with solid Windows-based computer proficiency. A valid B.C. driver’s license is required as well as the ability to obtain certification to acquire or possess restricted and unrestricted firearms.
