Reporting to the Crime Prevention & Community Services Manager, the Interventions Programs Manager is responsible for leading the Surrey RCMP Support Services Intervention Programs, including Victim Services, Domestic Violence, Youth Intervention and Restorative Justice.
In this role, you will be responsible for planning, organizing and managing the four key Intervention Programs in the Surrey RCMP Support Services team. You will work to ensure that those in need of our services have access to them in a timely, efficient and cost-effective way. You will be responsible for coordinating resources; providing input and feedback on policy or service development; resolving complaints; managing, hiring, promoting and developing employees; and will participate in City committees.
The successful candidate will demonstrate experience in the philosophy and practice of one or more Intervention Programs, and will have strong interpersonal skills and leadership abilities. The successful candidate must have a strong understanding of Intervention Programs and community partnerships, and must be able to actively demonstrate his/her ability to successfully resolve issues in this challenging work arena. The Intervention Programs Manager needs to manage the operating budgets, supervise union employees and, in consultation with the Manager Operations, introduce/develop performance metrics for this area. The incumbent will track program success factors, monitor caseloads, work with external stakeholder organizations (such as the Surrey Women’s Centre and the Surrey School District), as well as promote access to the Intervention Programs to internal and external audiences.
The ideal candidate possesses a Bachelor’s degree in Management, Social Services, or a related field, with 5 years of progressive related experience. An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered. You must also be able to obtain and maintain the relevant level of security clearance throughout employment with the Surrey RCMP.
