Job Description: The City of Surrey's RCMP Surrey Detachment currently has an auxiliary opportunity for a Victim Services Caseworker. The successful applicant will provide direct emergency crisis support to victims and witnesses of crime and other trauma along with ongoing emotional support, information and practical assistance. You will also provide and assist clients with referrals to community or government agencies, arrange emergency transition housing, accompany victims to the hospital and assist RCMP Members with next-of-kin notifications and hospital identifications.

The successful candidate will have completed grade 12 supplemented by a post-secondary diploma or degree in a related field plus a minimum of one year's related experience OR completion of several related post secondary courses plus 3 years directly related experience.

A valid BC driver’s license with a safe driving history is required.

This position requires successful candidates to obtain and maintain the RCMP Reliability Security Clearance throughout their employment with the RCMP Surrey Detachment.
