We are presently looking for outgoing, enthusiastic & reliable Head Skating Instructors for learn to skate programs. You will be required to coordinate skating instructors for the City of Surrey’s skating program and teach various levels of skating to pre-school and school age children as required. Duties: You will have to organize all class lists and instructors for skating lessons; be actively involved in regular training and updating of teaching skills of staff; teach a variety of skating levels and evaluate the program on a set by set basis with evaluation forms for the participants. Individuals must be able to work on an on-call basis or in a set shift as programs run at varying times. Must have a thorough knowledge of the requirements of the various levels of skating programs; have advanced teaching and coaching skills; interact well with children and adults and communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Educational Requirements: Applicants must have a minimum of 3 years experience as an instructor and have an NCCP Theory Level 2 Certificate. A current Emergency First Aid Certificate and be able to successfully pass a Criminal Record Check are also required.
