Job Description: In this role, you will be responsible for varied and complex duties and to provide information services and related support and respond to building inquiries. This requires considerable knowledge of departmental policies, procedures and related bylaws.

The incumbent in this position will:
??? Perform complex calculations and processes commercial building permit fees and related charges. Assist in the preparation of permit application documentation, review, assess, and process sign permits.
??? Assist in the circulations of the building permit applications.
??? Provide information, advice and guidance on technical matters regarding calculation of permit fees and charges.
The successful applicant will possess the following knowledge, skills, and abilities:
??? Excellent ability to diffuse conflict through communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
??? Ability to use discretion and make sound decisions.
??? Strong ability to read and interpret building and development permits, drawings and understand terms and standard practices used in construction industry.
??? Strong attention to detail and superior organizational skills.
??? Knowledge of relevant computer software applications.

The successful candidate must have completed Grade 12 supplemented with completion of a two year post- secondary program in building technology plus two years related experience.
