| Job Description: |
Under general supervision, the successful applicant will perform inspectional and regulatory work involving the enforcement of city by-laws.
As the successful candidate, you will record and track visited addresses to conduct follow up on unlicensed dogs, issue and track warning notices and violation tickets given out, as well as, report suspicious activity to management or appropriate authority. The ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing, to interact with the public in a diplomatic, tactful, and discreet manner, and to interpret and explain by-laws, policies and regulation is a must. |

| Duties: |
You will be working in both an office and working outside dealing with the public and often the work is in strained circumstances.
|
|
| Educational Requirements: |
You have successfully completed Grade 12 supplemented by courses in a related discipline. Previous experience in dealing with the public or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and education is required.
The position requires a clear criminal record check and police record check and/or a security clearance. The successful candidate will be required to wear a uniform.
