Full Time Regular
This position performs varied Property Tax & Utility clerical, cashiering and cashiering work, which requires considerable knowledge of the Property Tax & Utility functions, procedures and policies. Familiarity with relevant City, Provincial legislation, by-laws and their application to Property Tax & Utility functions is also required.
Other Information This position requires completion of criminal record check.

| Duties: |
Adjustments and billings. In addition, you will perform billing, data entry and collection of Property Tax and Utility bills. You will process payments of Property Tax, Utilities and other city revenues as required, using established deposit procedures. In this position, you will train other counter staff and support staff as required. Since the work involves interaction with the public, your good public relations, interpersonal, customer service skills will be important especially at times when circumstances are strained.

| Educational Requirements: |
Qualified Applicants will have completed grade 12 supplemented by an introductory Accounting course at a recognized post-secondary institute plus Customer Service and Conflict Resolution courses. Minimum of 3 years recent city experience and knowledge of the activities of other departments including minimum of one year???s direct experience in a Property Tax and Utility environment. Qualified applicants will also have previous cashiering experience preferably in the banking or financial environment. An acceptable equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered. |
