Network Analyst 3 Municipality: City of Surrey This posting closed on March 20, 2013 at 4:30 PM Department: Finance and Technology Job Description: This position will be responsible for analyzing, designing, documenting, implementing, maintaining, and supporting Exchange, Blackberry, UMS, and related messaging technologies and services. As the ideal candidate, you will be involved in investigating the physical space requirements for equipment, dimensioning and planning technology capacity and configuration. You will also be liaising with Information Technology management to ensure client needs are met as well as working with external vendors to build and implement solutions. You may be accountable for a sub-project within an application or support project for a single client which also includes managing sub-project budgets. You may also be responsible for leading a small (up to 5 people) project team (planning and organizing work assignments, providing direction and coaching on work assignments, ensuring that objective and deadlines are met and assessing performance). Duties: You will demonstrate broad technical knowledge of IT infrastructure as a whole and are able to anticipate the client???s future requirements and seek out and investigate new technology that may assist the client in meeting their business needs. You exhibited detailed understanding of overall strategic direction of functional area within section and general understanding of annual operating plans for the section. You are able to establish and maintain effective working relationships as well as remain up to date on current developments and trends in information technology. In addition, you encompass excellent planning, organizing and budgeting skills and are capable of imaginative abstract reasoning. Educational Requirements: Qualified applicants will have completed ONE of the following: ??? Diploma in a directly related field from a recognized institution plus 6 years of directly related experience ??? Bachelor???s Degree in a directly related field from a recognized institution plus 4 years of directly related experience ??? Technical Courses in the field supplemented with 8 years of directly related experience Skill Requirements: You have extensive in-depth knowledge of relevant technologies applicable to the role and your experience includes at least two years at the Network Analyst 2 level or acceptable equivalent.
