| Job Description: |
This is an intermediate professional level position requiring a fair amount of experience and expertise to undertake a wide range of planning assignments, to assist in design review of complex development applications, and to provide design advice in the preparation of land use plans.
The successful candidate will conduct research and analysis on a wide range of planning issues; review development permit and subdivision proposals; prepare planning comments on complex and comprehensive development applications; prepare reports on a variety of planning items; and perform other related duties as required.

| Educational Requirements: |
Educational requirements include a degree in Architecture supplemented by courses recognized by the Canadian Institute of Planners as fulfilling the requirement for full membership. You have at least four (4) years??? experience in the urban design profession after a Bachelor???s Degree.
The successful candidate communicates effectively, has strong design skills, is experienced in managing a heavy workload and has well-developed public relations skills. Membership in the Canadian Institute of Planners and/or Architectural Institute of British Columbia is desirable.
