Our commitment to stay this course is demonstrated through the implementation of an Enterprise Information Management (EIM) solution in all business units of the city. Reporting to the EIM Solutions Manager, the Business Analyst BA) will have an important role working with other EIM Team members in the implementation of the total solution focused on enabling business. The city is working with the OpenText ECM Suite of products. The EIM BA will engage business units to understand and assess their particular needs to ensure the appropriate EIM solutions are valid and enable the goals of the business to be achieved. The incumbent will work closely with other EIM Team members and Information Technology (IT) staff during the exploratory and implementation stages. Business engagement will consist of fact finding discussions to document the line of business and inter-dependent business processes and systems. Deliverables will include eliciting and analysing business needs, development of requirements, designs, implementation strategy, objectives and recommendations for solutions and actioning those recommendations. Duties: You will be challenged with exciting and diverse work extending beyond traditional BA all work to include: engagement with business units to identify specific needs related to business process enhancements including custom work flows, reports, document scanning, application integration and mobility; work with other EIM Solution Team members to conduct research, analysis and proposals on new/emerging technology or approaches; development of user training manuals, user self-help material, practices and procedures; user support including the delivery of training sessions and; work closely with the IT security staff on matters related to application permissions. Educational Requirements: Candidates will possess a Bachelor???s degree or Diploma in Information Technology/Computer Science and have a minimum of 4 years related experience in a large organization. Ideal candidates will have EIM related knowledge/experience such as content management, taxonomies, information capture, records management, web design/development, preferably within the OpenText LiveLink or ECM Suite environments.
