Job Description: Working in partnership with the largest municipal RCMP detachment in Canada, we provide services to the half a million residents of the City. We work closely with the community on crime prevention initiatives, as well as provide support and advice to those who have been affected by crime.


The Surrey RCMP Support Services, Executive Assistant is a senior administrative position, reports to the Manager, RCMP Support Services and accountable to the Officer in Charge (OIC). The position???s primary responsibility demands the highest level of confidentiality, professionalism and administrative support.


This position is required to understand and adhere to strict protocols regarding communication of sensitive and confidential information to senior executive police managers, the City of Surrey, Provincial and Federal Government officials, and private sector business leaders.
Duties: The Executive Assistant is also responsible for managing the OIC???s schedule, arranging meetings with Senior Executives, and managing incoming and outgoing communications in support of the OIC.
Educational Requirements: The successful candidate will have a diploma in a related field (or equivalent), with at least 5 years??? experience as a senior Executive Assistant. The incumbent will have strong interpersonal, customer service, public relations, written and verbal communication skills, and well-versed in technology, such as MS Office and Social Media.
Skill Requirements: Experience in a police environment is preferred. You must also be able to obtain and maintain the relevant level of security clearance throughout employment with the Surrey RCMP.
