Administrative Manager, Engineering Business Operations

We are currently offering an exciting opportunity in our Engineering Operations Department, for a dynamic, self-motivated professional with proven abilities, energy and leadership as an Administrative Manager. Reporting to the Director of Asset Management and Operational Services, the incumbent will be responsible for the development, implementation and administration of business operations, systems and accounting within the Engineering Operations department.
In this exciting role you will:
??? Be responsible for the effective and efficient development and execution of business plans for all related activities and training related to business systems and processes at Operations;
??? Manage Administrative Services staff and structure workloads and effective processes;
??? Perform analytical work regarding process development and oversee the inventory of business equipment and supplies;
??? Assist the Directors and Department Managers with the coordination of record keeping, departmental reporting, employee recruitment and management, contract management, system budget preparation and management, purchase orders and account management;
??? Develop and oversee Operational processes to assist in the creation of department budgets and monthly statements;
??? Work in collaboration with the appointed department accountants to manage and prepare budgets.
As the successful candidate you have a Diploma or Degree in Business Administration or an equivalent diploma from a recognized educational institution; Minimum 3-5 years in senior office administration, including experience in the following areas: budget preparation, spreadsheet analysis and managing a clerical team. Experience working in a unionized, municipal environment is considered an asset. In addition, you must have a valid BC drivers licence.
