Regular Full Time
This position provides complex financial, business operations and administrative support work for the Community & Recreation Services Division (CRS). As the Business Operations Coordinator, you will monitor the operating budget for the CRS administration and be responsible for assisting in the tracking and preparation of financial information for capital projects; coordinate department administered contracts and approve and process invoices up to a specific dollar amount for payment.
This position will also provide administrative support to the Divisional Manager by receiving and responding to all requests, queries and complaints, arrange meetings and appointments, compile material for meetings, develop and maintain systems pertaining to filing and records, research, collect, compile and analyse information and data from various sources to facilitate the organization, preparation of documents and reports, including those of a confidential nature and coordinate corporate reports, memos and committee reports.

| Duties: |
The successful candidate will demonstrate strong administrative and organization skills including record maintenance and preparation of reports and the ability to prioritize. The ability to communicate effectively, establish and maintain working relationships with staff, external contacts and the public and deal with issues effectively and tactfully is essential for this role. Candidates must be able to demonstrate considerable independence of judgment in their actions and be able to work independently. |

| Educational Requirements: |
Applicants hold a High School Diploma supplemented by a Diploma in Business Administration, or related discipline from a recognized post-secondary institution |
|
| Skill Requirements: |
minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible related experience preferably in a senior administrative environment.
Excellent working knowledge of software applications is required.
