The Township of Langley is currently recruiting a regular part-time Recreation Worker IV ??? Fitness Room Attendant to join our team of professionals in the Recreation, Culture and Parks Division. Reporting to the Health & Fitness Programmer, you will perform customer service, supervisory and instructional duties in the Fitness Centre, including creating a welcoming environment in the centre, building relationships with customers, supervising and assisting customers, providing fitness centre orientations, and general facility clean-up duties. You will also assist in program development for health and fitness, promote healthy and active lifestyles to individuals and the community, , and perform other duties as related to the job. Your academic background must include completion of Grade 12 combined with the following: BCRPA Weight Trainer (or equivalent), valid CPR and Emergency First Aid. In addition, skill training in specialty programs such as BCAK Practicing Kinesiologist (or equivalent); BCRPA Registered Personal Trainer (or equivalent) would be an asset. The rate of pay for this CUPE position is $20.45 - $23.96 (2011 rates) per hour, plus benefits. The hours are Tuesday and Thursday 3:00 ??? 9:30pm, Wednesday 7:30 ??? 11:30am, and Saturday 8:00am ??? 12:00pm.
