Trades I (Turf Grass Maintenance) | Posting #C13-16 Your love of the outdoors and turf grass maintenance will be ideal for this role in maintaining park areas, irrigation systems, sports fields, municipal grounds and boulevards. You will bring a minimum of 2 years??? work experience in a wide range of turf grass related duties including routine repair, maintenance and development of park areas; assist in construction of sports fields; installing irrigation and drainage systems; applying integrated pest management practices. As the successful candidate you have: ??? Completion of Grade 12; ??? Completion of post-secondary Diploma in Turfgrass Management technology; ??? B.C. Pesticide Applicator's Certificate in landscape and garden category; ??? Valid B.C. driver's license; ??? Experience using Computerized Central Irrigation Software (CCIS) is preferred. The hourly rate of pay for this union position is from $23.58 to $27.74 per hour (2011 rates). In addition, the City of Abbotsford offers a comprehensive benefits package.
