| Duties: |
ECE Summer Day Camp staff will be responsible for the design and implementation of day camp programs for Early Years ECE Programs. ECE Summer Day Camps are, are both licensed and non-licensed, and are offered in a variety of facilities including recreation centers, schools, community halls and parks. These positions involve working with parents and caregivers together with their children with purpose of providing a language rich environment that fosters a creative, enriched, play based learning environment.
The Early Childhood Educators will be responsible for setting up and maintaining an organized, stimulating play environment that encourages the development of self-esteem, oral language, creative problem solving, collaboration, social interaction, social responsibility, intercultural understanding, emergent literacy and numeracy, as well as providing parent support, connections with schools, families and sharing community resources. This will require developing activities that are important to the various stages of child development, including, art, literacy, fine/gross motor skills, constructive play, and using observation and documentation to create a successful program. |

| Educational Requirements: |
Candidates must have: basic computer skills, a current first aid certificate and will be required to go through a criminal record search.

| Skill Requirements: |
ECE Leads
The successful candidate will have an Early Childhood Education Certificate (ECE) with preferably 3-5 years related work experience. Demonstrated experience working with children in the 0-5 age range and experience working with adults in a facilitative role is considered an asset. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are required as is the ability to be culturally sensitive, creative, collaborative, resourceful and knowledgeable of community services in Surrey.
ECE Assistants
The successful candidate will hold an Early Childhood Education certificate with valid license to assist with some related work experience with children in the 0-5 age range. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are required as is the ability to be culturally sensitive, creative, collaborative, resourceful and knowledgeable of community services in Surrey. |
