You???ll manage and deploy standard operating system images and support desktop hardware and software. You???ll also develop documentation and reports, and coordinate formalized change control. Duties: The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate the following: ??? the ability to package software (including agents and drivers) and create deployment jobs and scripts in order to deploy software and configuration settings to a large fleet of computers ??? an understanding of Windows Desktop operating systems. This includes using tools like SysInternals, Regedit, and Event Viewer to ???get under the hood??? of the operating system and the software that gets installed on it, as well as being comfortable around DLLs, .NET, MDAC, MSXML, and ActiveX ??? an understanding of Windows Server core functions including Active Directory, Group Policy, DHCP, and DNS; an understanding of IP addressing ??? the ability to use root cause analysis to solve problems with getting applications to a packaged and deployable stage, as well as with already deployed applications ??? developing documentation and reports for a technical, management, and end user audience ??? the ability to research and learn about new software ??? the ability to design solutions, coordinate implementation, deliver operational support, and write documentation and reports ??? follow and contribute to a formalized change control process ??? ability to work in cross-functional teams Educational Requirements: Qualified applicants will have ONE of the following: ??? A diploma in a directly related field from a recognized post-secondary institution plus 4 years of directly related experience ??? A Bachelor???s degree in a directly related field from a recognized institution plus 2 years of directly related experience ??? Technical courses in the field plus 6 years of directly related experience.
