Job Description:

In this exempt position, the successful candidate will perform a variety of general clerical work including scheduling, public interaction, and reception duties.



Duties: Work challenges may include: word processing, data entry, filing, calendar administration, responding to general queries, and provide information to the public and others over the telephone, email or at the service counter.
Educational Requirements: To be considered for this role, you have completed Grade 12 supplemented by post-secondary courses in word processing, office practices and PC office applications. You have a minimum of 2-4 years??? experience and training in a complex office environment. You must have an accurate typing speed of 45 wpm; and be proficient in the Microsoft Office suite of computer programs. You possess excellent interpersonal skills and have the ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing with internal and external stakeholders. You are also able to balance a high work volume, with multiple priorities, in an effective manner.

Skill Requirements: A key function of this role will be working with other staff to support the Mayor???s schedule, including receiving, reviewing and responding to invitations to public events and internal/external meeting requests,
