Job Description: The District of Mission has an exciting career opportunity for a dynamic and experienced professional to join its senior management team as the Director of Corporate and Business Services.

Reporting to the Chief Administrative Officer, the Director is responsible for leading and managing a diverse portfolio of legislative, legal, human resources, labour relations, financial, purchasing, information technology, and RCMP municipal support services. The Director provides strategic leadership to a team of professionals focused on providing exemplary customer service to the organization and to the residents and businesses of Mission.

This position is designated as the District???s Corporate Officer under the Community Charter and acts as the Chief Election Officer for elections and referendums.
Educational Requirements: Your post-secondary education in business or public administration, or a related field, your specialized training in human resources and your five years of related experience together with your progressive and innovative management history, as well as your ability to think broadly, makes you an ideal candidate.
Skill Requirements: Progressive management experience and/or a history of performing similar corporate business functions, advanced oral and written communication skills, including the ability to review and write various legal documents, are considered necessary for success. You understand broader local government objectives and issues, and are proactive, forward thinking and detail oriented. A distinguished customer service record and the ability to develop and maintain positive and collaborative working relationships with a wide variety of internal and external customers, including Council, are essential for this position.
