The City of Surrey???s Community & Leisure Services Division provides exciting opportunities and challenges in an active and energetic environment and is currently looking for Lead and Assistant Guides with the following activities.
- Mountain Biking
- Hiking
- Kayaking

| Duties: |
This opportunity requires outgoing and responsible individuals, with strong leadership and teaching skills in a recreational environment. The position includes guiding or instructing tours at a beginner to intermediate level. Typical tours involve the supervision and instruction of 8 to 20 participants in a wilderness setting. You will ensure a safe and fun atmosphere for all of the participants. |

| Educational Requirements: |
Successful candidates must possess a CPR ???C??? certificate, an Unrestricted Class 4 Drivers License (for hiking only), a sea kayaking certification (for kayaking) and Wilderness First Aid certificate is an asset. |
|
| Skill Requirements: |
The successful individuals must have strong organizational skills and must work well with limited supervision and in a team environment. This position also requires a thorough knowledge and ability to coach people of various levels, as well as effective oral and written communication skills and extensive experience in this area. |
