The Township of Langley is currently recruiting for a regular part-time Technical Assistant to join our team of professionals in the Corporate Administration Division, Economic Development Department.

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Corporate Administration, you will be responsible in this unionized position for performing inventory assessments for property type of use; assisting with the maintenance of the business inventory database, reviewing & analyzing data provided by external consultants; preparing reports; assisting with developing communications materials, collecting and analyzing data, executing outreach and education programs; as well as preparing and delivering presentations and coordinating logistics for events.

Your education will include completion of the first year of an undergraduate degree in a related discipline; work experience in a municipal government is an asset; or an equivalent combination of training and experience. The successful candidate will have a working knowledge of economics terminology, practices, and techniques as well as familiarity with other areas such as earth science, engineering, and/or GIS ; the ability to prioritize and schedule tasks to meet deadlines; compile and analyze statistics; communicate effectively with others orally and in writing; as well as skill in the use of computer and related software required in the work.

The CUPE rate of pay for this position is $25.84 - $30.37 per hour (5 steps, 2018 rates), plus benefits. The hours of work are Tuesday to Thursday 8:30am ??? 4:30pm.
