The City of Abbotsford???s Engineering & Regional Utilities Department is seeking a self-motivated hard working individual to join their dynamic team as a temporary full-time Labourer. This opportunity is full time on a temporary basis until return of incumbent. In this exciting role you will bring considerable knowledge of the principles, practices, methods, materials, tools and equipment used in general construction and maintenance work. You will play an important role in underground utility installation and repair; roads and drainage infrastructure construction and repair; parks maintenance and construction, and buildings and facilities maintenance and construction. Your strong communications skills and ability to carry out instruction will be essential as you lay out, assist in, and provide direction to others engaged in the areas mentioned above. To be considered you must have: ??? Grade 10 ??? Considerable experience in general construction and maintenance work and in the operation of related tools, equipment and machinery. ??? Valid B.C. Driver???s Licence This position is unionized, CUPE Local 774, and the hourly rate of pay is $23.55 to 27.71 plus a percentage in lieu of vacation, statutory holidays and health benefits.
