October) Municipality: Village of Harrison Hot Springs This posting closed on April 4, 2018 at 4:00 PM Department: Public Works Job Description: The incumbent in this position will be responsible for servicing the public washrooms to ensure they are functional and presentable at all times. The incumbent will also assist with beach front clean up. Duties: The incumbent in this position will sweep and wash, washroom floors, clean walls, mirror and fixtures along with servicing the washroom facilities. If minor repairs are required the incumbent will make repairs to their level of comfort otherwise repairs and maintenance items will be referred to the Operations Manager. The incumbent will also assist with litter/beach clean-up in the foreshore area. Other related duties as assigned Skill Requirements: This is considered as an entry level position and the incumbent will preferably have the following knowledge, skills, and abilities: o Have general understanding of the principles and equipment used in cleaning public washrooms. o Able to read and understand written directions o Able to recognize and repair unsafe or unacceptable sanitary conditions o Able to be polite and understanding in dealing with the public o Able to work independently and follow established routine and procedures o Have a general knowledge and understanding of the principles for building security.
