| Job Description: |
This is manual work involving some complexity and variety in the performance of skilled and semi-skilled construction, maintenance and repair tasks. The duties may involve difficult working conditions, specialized skills and occasional supervisory responsibility as required. |

| Duties: |
Seasonal labourers assist in parks and cemeteries operations and maintenance including: grounds and building maintenance; gardening; pruning; fence repair; lawn maintenance; brushing; gravesite preparation; playground maintenance, trail maintenance and construction, field and irrigation system installation and maintenance; minor repairs and construction and related tasks. |

| Educational Requirements: |
High school graduation or equivalent and completion of courses related to the work being performed.
Sound related experience in general construction and maintenance work and in the operation of related tools, equipment and machinery; OR an equivalent combination of training and related experience.

| Skill Requirements: |
Ability to understand and effectively carry out and communicate oral and written instructions with a minimum of supervision.
Ability to perform a variety of skilled and semi-skilled manual tasks requiring limited independent judgment and action in construction and maintenance operations.
Ability to lay out, check and participate in the work of others engaged in construction and maintenance tasks.
Demonstrable skill in the proper and safe operation of a variety of hand and power tools, equipment and machinery common to general construction and maintenance work.
Ability to maintain basic records related to the work performed.
Ability to maintain effective public relations with the community.
Physically capable of performing the essential duties of the position.

| Salary: |
$29.84 per hour plus 12.4% in lieu of all benefits. |

| Additional Information: |
The shifts are Sunday to Wednesday and Friday to Monday from 7:30 am to 5:00 pm. |
