SCOPE
The City of Surrey???s Parks Recreation and Culture Department is currently recruiting candidates who have a passion for working with people and helping families be active by accessing sports equipment and games with the Live 5-2-1-0 Playboxes. Eleven Playboxes are currently in City of Surrey parks and more are coming soon! This is an incredible opportunity to be outside engaging with families and to work for one of BC???s top employers for six consecutive years and contribute to the exciting evolution of the City of Surrey!

RESPONSIBILITIES
In this position, the Playbox Leader will:
???Assists in planning implementation, delivery and promotion of a wide range of programs and services, including but not limited to special events, workshops, educational course and entertainment;
???Plans Daily Activities;
???Provides leadership in a variety of situations;
???Provides guidance to junior staff;
???Observes and monitors patrons and deals with situations as they arise;
???Maintains the program area and keeps equipment safe, clean and hazard free at all times;
???Maintains a daily log of all incidents and deals effectively and respectively with all customer concerns;
???Maintains records and statistics on programs;
???Assists to order and monitor supplies;
???Ensure that the City???s policies and procedures are met during the performance of on-going duties;
???Provides routine information to the public regarding program and facilities in courteous and professional manner.

QUALIFICATIONS
???Completion of Grade 12;
???1 year experience working with children;
???Current Emergency First Aid and CPR C Certificates;
???BC full DL with Safe DR;
???High Five Certification (asset);
???ECE License (asset).
