The City of Abbotsford has an exciting opportunity for a full-time Employee Services Coordinator to join our Human Resources team. If you are a self-motivated, driven, Human Resources professional, who thrives in a fast paced environment, and are seeking an opportunity to join a progressive team where you can grow your career through countless opportunities; this could be the role for you!
In this busy role, you will delve into the areas of recruitment, job evaluation/classification, and training and development in a diverse unionized setting. You will provide: full-cycle recruitment for a wide variety of City positions, assist with the compensation and classification process of both union and exempt positions, coordinate training and development initiatives, and support key Human Resources projects. Your experience with HR systems coupled with your ability to interpret and find meaning with the data, will support you in your role as you support the Employee Services team with tracking and reporting of Metrics.
This role requires a high energy self-starter who values a team environment and can manage a busy and interesting workload while providing excellent customer service. Our Human Resources team values teamwork, integrity and an energetic and positive work environment.
Our ideal candidate will have:
• a university degree or diploma in Human Resources or a related field;
• a minimum of two years’ Human Resources experience at an entry level, preferably in a unionized setting;
• a proven track record in full cycle recruitment along with coordination of training and development programs and hands on experience with HR metrics and systems;
• superior communication and interpersonal skills;
• procifiency in Microsoft Office Suite; and
• CHRP designation or working towards the designation is considered an asset.
